Good to hear Vanabel! I drove home Christmas Eve, the drive was pretty good...say for some idiotic drivers who think they're invincible in their pickup trucks! It's sooo cold!!

OMG! No kiddn! We went to see my DH family in Lloydminster - and the drivers that were passing us were seniors! Not to say they can't drive, but the road was in no shape for 135 k/ph either!

Trust me, the Calgary-Edmonton route is not much better! I am back in Edmonton now...some ppl really think that driving pickups & having winter tires makes them invincible! Please, when you're going 150kmh, it's not gonna help you!!! The drive was interesting yesterday, it was -15C in Calgary, got to Red Deer county in about 45 minutes and it was -25C!! There was frozen fog EVERYWHERE, I could barely see infront of me, but it disappeared after Red Deer!

Its fun when it hits -70 during a cold snap here, but it's a dry cold (minus 10 up north is not like minus 10 in the maritimes.) Everyone lives in goose parka with layers underneath during the winter. It was amazing when the power went the house held it's temperature for hours.

That is really good Jenny! I have lived in a few rental homes and boy, you can tell the insulation was not adequate - when the power went out it got cold fast! That is why I don't like base heaters!
